100' Inflatable Hull Power Catamaran

This unusual boat attracted a lot of internet attention. Chatters gave it nicknames such as Skeeter, Mystery Cat, Spider Boat, Strange Boat, Weird Boat, Mystery Craft, 100 ft. long Watchamacallit,  until it was formally announced as "Proteus" or the WAM-V

 

 

Ugo's concept of using inflatable hulls with a flexibly mounted 

superstructure is strongly reminiscent of our Waterwalker design.

The original plan was to have the cabin, living quarters, and bridge for the mother craft as a separate boat that could be used as a launch. I felt it should serve as a lifeboat, and designed this self-righting boat, an interesting little craft in its own right
