Formula 500
Monohull (design #44)
This design was prepared as
part of a technical paper comparing potential performance of a
monohull to various forms of multihulls under the Formula 500 rule
for pro circuit racing. This 33' boat uses 50' wide, foil shaped,
buoyant crew racks. Speed predictions are phenomenal: an upwind
speed of 10 knots in a 5 knot wind, maximum speed of 29 knots in 20
knots wind. |
